Education Protector covers your children’s education costs when you are no longer there or cannot earn an income due to an impairment resulting in you being unable to pay for your child’s education.

The benefit offers cover in the event of death or impairment of the parent / legal guardian to assist with the child’s education costs when they are no longer there. Sum assured does not decrease as your child gets older - to ensure sufficient funds for future education costs.
• Education Protector offers comprehensive cover that goes beyond just death cover. Parents / legal guardians are also covered for Physical Impairment.
• Should you be fortunate enough to have watched your children grow and complete their education, this benefit assists to help pay for any costs associated with starting them up on their new journey after school / college. The benefit can also be used to fund any costs that the parent desires for themselves.
• The loss of a child is a devastating event that no parent wishes to experience. We cannot predict when this event could occur, but we can assist you in providing for a dignified funeral for your child.
• Education Protector aids in ensuring that your children are left with the best advantage when you are no longer there - receiving the ability to have an education.

You can only claim for natural causes if your policy has been active for the duration of the waiting period. However, if the risk event occurs due to an accident, you can claim immediately after your policy has been activated.

The Physical Impairment benefit only covers the parent / legal guardian. Children are not covered for physical impairment. However, the policy may remain in force if the child is pursuing an education and the parent / legal guardian would like to protect this education should they no longer be there.

Your child may study at any school / college / learning institute that they choose. However, the territorial limits on the policy need to be met. That is, if the child does not currently live in the country where the policy was issued, the child will not be covered on the Child Funeral benefit. Should the parent / legal guardian pass away or become physically impaired, the appropriate benefits will be paid, and the child can continue their education.
