Liberty Day at Ekisaakatte Kya Nabagereka with Nnabagereka Foundation

Liberty Uganda has a  partnership with the Nnaabagereka Foundation for the ongoing Ekisaakaate Kya Nnaabagereka program.

The Ekisaakaate Kya Nnabagereka is a transformative initiative that equips young people with essential life skills, leadership training and cultural values to prepare them for a world of opportunities.

Through this partnership, Liberty is taking a leadership role in educating and inspiring the next generation about the importance of financial literacy and insurance, laying the foundation for a secure and resilient future.

“At Liberty, we believe that building a better tomorrow begins with empowering the youth today. Ekisaakaate provides a unique platform to not only celebrate Uganda’s rich cultural heritage but also prepare young people for life’s realities. By introducing them to the concept of insurance at an early age, we are equipping them with the tools they need to thrive in the face of life’s uncertainties and achieve their dreams with confidence,” said Peter Makhanu, the managing director of Liberty General Insurance.

He said that as an insurer of the future, Liberty is committed to thought leadership and community impact.

Through workshops and interactive sessions with the learners at Ekisaakaate, Liberty trained participants on the importance of insurance, financial planning and risk management ensuring they are better prepared to step into adulthood with a strong understanding of how to secure their futures.

“This partnership reflects Liberty’s purpose of empowering communities and creating meaningful change. We are honoured to support the Ekisaakaate Kya Nnaabagereka in shaping the next generation of leaders who will uphold Uganda’s heritage and drive its development,” Makhanu noted.

Officials said the partnership aligns well with the two organisations’ visions.

Andrew Adrian Mukiibi, the manager of Nnaabagereka Development Foundation said Ekisaakaate continues to inspire and shape future leaders, instilling in them a deep sense of responsibility, resilience and cultural pride.

“Ekisaakaate Kya Nnaabagereka is a great gift for parents to give their children, some of the knowledge we will be sharing to these youth are the benefits of insurance and to make them understand the need of insurance. We are thankful to Liberty Uganda for the support given to the youth during the Ekisaakate.”
